Kylie & Sam celebrated their outdoor wedding on a private property in the Atherton Tablelands, surrounded by rainforest, gardens and open countryside.

Shamrock Space Studio provided complete wedding videography coverage with three videographers and four cameras, capturing preparations, their ceremony and vows, family moments, speeches, first dance and reception celebrations.

We also captured aerial footage of the surrounding Tablelands landscape through our professional drone operation, subject to weather, airspace and safety conditions.

Their final delivery included their complete wedding ceremony in 4K and a cinematic 4–5 minute wedding highlight film, delivered digitally.

More importantly, their wedding was filled with the moments that make a film personal: Kylie’s children accompanying her to the ceremony, emotional vows, a butterfly release, laughter during the speeches and an outdoor celebration with approximately 80 family members and friends.

Kylie & Sam’s Private Property Wedding

There is something distinctive about getting married in the Atherton Tablelands.

Rainforest, rolling countryside, gardens and private rural properties give weddings in the region a strong sense of place while creating beautiful opportunities for wedding photography and videography.

Kylie & Sam held their celebration outdoors on a private property surrounded by gardens, open fields and rainforest.

Near the house was a private creek, while a waterfall could be found among the rainforest on the nearby hill. The combination of open countryside and tropical landscape gave us the opportunity to capture both the intimacy of the wedding and the wider environment surrounding it.

One of the most memorable moments came as Kylie’s children accompanied her to the ceremony.

The day also included a butterfly release, emotional vows, plenty of laughter during the speeches, the couple’s first dance and a lively reception celebration.

The June weather stayed clear, allowing the outdoor wedding to unfold as planned and giving us the opportunity to capture aerial footage across the surrounding fields and countryside.

These are the moments that make wedding videography valuable.

A wedding film preserves more than how the day looked. It captures voices, movement, reactions, laughter and the atmosphere shared between the people who were there.

Capturing the Wedding From Multiple Perspectives

Our coverage began with preparations and continued through the ceremony, couple session, family and guest moments, reception, speeches, first dance and celebrations.

For Kylie & Sam’s wedding, our team consisted of three videographers using four cameras.

Two stationary cameras provided continuous coverage during key moments, while two gimbal-operated cameras allowed our videographers to capture movement, reactions and alternative perspectives throughout the day.

That matters because important wedding moments happen once.

There is no second take of the bride arriving.

A parent’s reaction during the ceremony cannot be recreated.

The vows happen once.

The butterfly release happens once.

Using multiple cameras and videographers allows us to preserve these moments from different perspectives while remaining as unobtrusive as possible throughout the wedding.

Why Professional Wedding Audio Matters

Beautiful imagery is only one part of a great wedding film.

Sound can be just as meaningful.

For Kylie & Sam’s ceremony, we professionally recorded their vows, celebrant and ceremony audio using dedicated wireless and lapel microphone systems.

Professional audio allows a wedding film to preserve something photography cannot: people’s voices.

Years from now, hearing your partner say their vows again or listening to the voices of family members can become one of the most meaningful parts of your wedding film.

For this reason, professional audio recording is an important part of our approach to wedding videography.

Aerial Wedding Footage Across the Atherton Tablelands

The landscape is one of the biggest reasons couples choose the Atherton Tablelands for their wedding.

For Kylie & Sam’s celebration, aerial footage helped establish the private property and surrounding countryside, giving their finished highlight film a sense of scale and location that could not be achieved from ground level alone.

Shamrock Space Studio provides professional aerial photography and videography through a CASA-credentialled drone operation, including ReOC and RePL credentials.

Drone coverage is always subject to the location, surrounding airspace, weather and safety conditions.

Every wedding is assessed individually, and aerial filming is undertaken only when it can be completed safely and legally.

From Four Cameras to a Cinematic 4K Wedding Film

The storytelling continues after the wedding day.

For Kylie & Sam, footage from all four cameras was carefully reviewed and combined with professionally recorded ceremony and reception audio during post-production.

Their final delivery included:

  • A cinematic 4–5 minute wedding highlight film

  • Their complete wedding ceremony

  • 4K video delivery

  • Convenient digital delivery and download

Their finished wedding films were delivered approximately one to one-and-a-half months after the wedding.

A wedding highlight film should be more than a collection of attractive shots set to music.

It should have a beginning, a sense of place and an emotional progression that reflects the people and atmosphere of the wedding itself.

Our aim is to create a film that feels specific to your day rather than relying on the same structure for every couple.

Our Wedding Videography Style

Our approach combines cinematic storytelling with natural, documentary-style coverage.

We want the finished film to look polished and cinematic without making the wedding itself feel like a film production.

We provide direction when it is helpful, particularly during couple sessions or planned cinematic sequences, while much of the day is captured by observing what is happening naturally and being ready when genuine moments unfold.

That may include:

  • The nervous excitement before the ceremony

  • A parent’s reaction during the vows

  • Friends laughing together

  • A quiet moment between the couple

  • Children enjoying the celebration

  • The energy of the reception and dance floor

These moments give each wedding film its personality.

Our goal is to create wedding films that feel cinematic, emotional, natural and relaxed while remaining true to the people and atmosphere of the day.

Wedding Photography + Videography Options

Kylie & Sam chose videography-only coverage for their wedding.

Shamrock Space Studio also provides professional wedding photography and combined wedding photography + videography coverage.

Depending on your wedding plans, coverage may include:

  • Wedding photography only

  • Wedding videography only

  • Combined photography + videography

  • Full-day wedding coverage

  • Elopements and intimate weddings

  • Destination weddings

  • Multi-day celebrations

Coverage can begin from approximately two hours for smaller celebrations and can be expanded according to the wedding schedule, locations, guest numbers and required deliverables.

Because every wedding is different, we prefer to understand your plans before recommending the most suitable level of coverage.

Coverage That Scales With Your Wedding

Not every wedding requires the same production approach.

Kylie & Sam’s approximately 80-guest celebration was covered by three videographers using four cameras.

For larger weddings, and for major events with 500+ guests, Shamrock Space Studio scales the production team, camera coverage and planning to suit the venue, schedule and number of guests.

A smaller private-property wedding may benefit from a quiet, highly mobile approach.

A larger celebration may require additional camera positions, more operators and more detailed production planning.

The objective remains the same: use the right level of coverage for the wedding rather than treating every celebration as though it is identical.

Why We Love Filming Weddings in the Atherton Tablelands

The Atherton Tablelands offers an extraordinary variety of wedding settings.

Private properties, open countryside, rainforest, gardens, historic towns and mountain landscapes allow couples to create celebrations that feel personal and connected to their surroundings.

One of our biggest recommendations for couples planning a wedding in the region is simple:

Allow time to enjoy and capture the location you have chosen.

If you are getting married on a beautiful rural property, near rainforest or surrounded by countryside, the location should become part of your wedding story rather than simply appearing in the background.

Planning Your Atherton Tablelands Wedding Video

A little preparation can make a significant difference to the finished wedding film.

Allow Enough Time

Try not to make the wedding schedule unnecessarily tight.

Allowing breathing room between preparations, the ceremony, couple footage and reception creates more opportunities for natural moments and reduces the need to rush from one part of the day to another.

Consider Travel Between Locations

The Atherton Tablelands covers a large geographic area.

If preparations, the ceremony and reception are happening in different places, travel time needs to be realistically included in the wedding schedule.

Allowing enough travel time also helps photographers and videographers arrive, set up and prepare before important moments begin.

Make the Most of the Landscape

If the Tablelands landscape is one of the reasons you have chosen to get married here, allow enough time for your photographer and videographer to capture it.

Wide landscape footage, natural couple sequences and where conditions permit - aerial imagery can give the finished wedding film a genuine sense of place.

Tell Us What Matters Most

Every wedding has moments that carry special meaning.

Perhaps a family member is travelling a long distance to attend. Maybe you are planning a surprise, family tradition, cultural element or something unique during the ceremony.

Tell us beforehand.

For Kylie & Sam, the butterfly release was one of those moments.

Knowing what matters allows our team to plan camera positions and make sure we are ready when it happens.
